A crimson sunrise,
frosted forest fields glisten,
a lonely heartbeat.
The morning blossoms,
a doe bows at the river,
soft blessings chanted.
Sitting cross-legged,
dark clouds give way to blue skies,
eyes closed, time stopped.
The kettle whistles,
rising from my window seat,
the new day begins.
