The Reflections of Other’s Perceptions

The short space and time

our being, our soul,

shares with this human form,

Is wasted if spent,

inside the looking glass of another.

We are not the reflection,

of other’s perceptions.

Our being now wrapped in

a cocoon of stardust,

Is destined to grow,

And transform into

Its own unique and beautiful

form and shape.

It has taken decades for us to learn,

That we must let our insights guide us,

And to step out of the looking glass,

And into the reflections from

Deep within our own true self.

We are not the reflection,

Of other’s perception.

Our true self can only be seen,

In the mirror of our insight

And the reflection of our soul.
